Stone room

Jambs and architraves carved from pink-tinged Pietra di Finale limestone are a testament to the fifteenth-century origins of this part of the property.
In the centuries that followed, this part of the building was used as a cattle shed, and the entrance look directly onto a strip of land, sheltered by a dry-stone wall, on which grapes have been grown for centuries.
Centuries of local stone carvers have preceded the craft of marble workers like Alessandro, whose skilful hands are able to shape the now virtually unobtainable material that has provided the inspiration for this spacious room.
