HOW TO GET HERE...
... by bike
If you’re travelling by bike, you probably don’t need directions...
but wherever you’re coming from, cycle first to Finalborgo, where the route starts out for Cà del Buio (about 3.5km).
From Piazza del Tribunale, make your way up the steep cobblestone path to the San Giovanni Fort and then Castel Gavone, and cycle on up to the village of Perti.
This will bring you onto an easy asphalt road (the continuation of the old Beretta Road), which will take you past the Church of the Five Bell Towers and the Case Valle neighbourhood.
A hundred or so metres after Case Valle, you’ll come to a little votive shrine with a statue of the Madonna on your right. Cycle on for about another 100 metres, then take the dirt road that descends slightly on the right. You’re almost there!
... by train and bus
If you’re using public transport, well done, but you’ll need a little help …
First things first:
On the Genoa-Ventimiglia rail line, get off at Finale Ligure.
In front of the station is the terminus of the no. 35 bus line that runs between Finale Ligure and Carbuta.
The “San Sebastiano” stop along the way is the nearest to Cà del Buio.
The last 3.5km is not served by public transport.
We’ll be happy to help you get here, so long as we can arrange something in advance at a time that suits both of us.

... by car or motorbike
If you’re coming from Ventimiglia, Genoa, Turin or Milan, drive along the A10 motorway to the Finale Ligure exit: we’re just 7.5 km off the motorway, and it’ll take you about 15 minutes to get here.
After the tollbooth, follow the signs for Calice Ligure for about 4km, until you come to the turn-off on the right for Perti Alto – Zona Monumentale.
After 1.5 km, you’ll come to the Church of Sant’Eusebio (11th century); continue along this single road for another 2 km to reach the B&B.
Along this last stretch, you’ll come to a sign that says Divieto di Transito per i Non Residenti (no thoroughfare for non-residents); you are entitled to drive through because you are staying here with us.
Just after the Church of Sant’Eusebio, you might like to stop and admire the distinctive Church of the Five Bell Towers, and the view that stretches from Castel Gavone to Finalborgo, with the sea in the background.
